MONOSEM will exhibit, on their stand at the Agritechnica show (Hall 11 - Stand C54), a drill on which the inter-row spacing can be temporarily increased. This solution has existed at MONOSEM for nearly 10 years, however there is new interest with the increasing use of wide wheels, and allowing running them between the rows.
Many years of experience
Rather than, 'tramlining' - usually cutting off two rows, which would often give too wide a space between two rows in a maize crop (160cm or 140cm), the system activates hydraulic cylinders that change the inter-row of the 2 rows around the central rows. The sliding of these 2 rows makes it possible to go from an inter-row of 75 cm to an inter-row of 112 cm maximum. By not cutting off rows, the advantage of the system is maintaining the overall seed rate. The subsequent passages of machines (sprayer, slurry tank, ...) is then possible without running on the crop. This system isavailable on 4 and 8 rows MONOSEM planters with mechanical or electrical drive.
